I Like OTY®

My husband, Randy Pausch, drank OTY when he was battling cancer and his appetite suffered from the chemo/radiation treatments. OTY was easy to digest and was packed with essential nutrients. It was one of our mainstays for keeping Randy’s weight and energy up. More cancer patients should know about OTY as it’s a tastier and easier nutritional drink than some of the commercially available products

My son brought me a few of these while I am undergoing treatment for complications related to leukemia.  They are very soothing – especially for folks like me who have very painful mouth conditions and difficulty eating.  Taste great, too…looking forward to sending this to a friend of mine in San Diego who is undergoing treatment for stomach cancer and having a heck of a time eating.

I just wanted to say thank you for helping introduce me to OTY and for making them for me by the batch.  I’m in the midst of gastric radiation right now and am pretty much nauseous all the time and my energy level had hit rock bottom.  The thought of putting anything in my stomach for breakfast (or any other meal) was pretty frightening.  For some reason, OTY is  something I can not only handle in the morning, but actually look forward to.  They’re delicious. I was also NOT a health food nut and relied on the food I grew up with.  When I was diagnosed, I decided to change our family’s diet to a more healthy one, but the books are overwhelming and trying to figure out recipes for meals that included the foods we were supposed to include and left out the others was (and still is) very difficult.  OTY has all the ingredients that the experts suggest and plus, I don’t have to make it myself! (A big plus when you’re tired!).  Thanks again, you’ve made going through this a lot easier.
